Panis Angelicus

presented by Jacob Lee and Deliverus Ensemble

This is Jacob, playing Panis Angelicus on his recorder with the accompaniment of other Deliverus Ensemble members on March 13th, 2011.

Jacob was diagnosed with Down syndrome and autism from birth. Because of this, he stuck out his tongue all the time, couldn't go to the bathroom alone, could not chew, could not move his fingers freely, and could not talk until he was 10 years old. His mom tried in various sorts of ways to find a cure, but the situation worsened the more she tried. In a circumstance where seemingly, the only choice was to give up, like Peter in the Bible who threw the net into an empty sea with faith, she trusted, believed and obeyed the Word of God and disciplined Jacob. Slowly, but steadily, Jacob was cured from autistic behaviors. Now, 5 years later, he can talk, eat and chew freely, and even praise God with an instrument as an official member of the Deliverus Ensemble.

We thank God who graciously provided Jacob with the cure of autism. The word "All things are possible for to him who believes" (Mark 9:23b) has come true.

Praise the Lord!
